The BCEC is an impressive sight while lit in the evening.

The Boston Convention and Expo Center (BCEC) is the current home for PAX East and has been since 2011. It is one of the largest convention centers in the Northeast US, with 516000 sq. feet (157277 sq. meters) of contiguous expo space to go along with 160000 sq. feet of meeting space. The main floor can be divided into 3 bays or can be opened into one large space. Located on the South Boston waterfront, the BCEC is one block away form the World Trade Center Station stop for the Silver Line with direct connections to South Station and Logan Int'l Airport.

Navigating the BCEC

The BCEC is a very large expo center, and may be difficult to navigate without some prior knowledge of the building. The BCEC offers a pdf guide that can help one familiarize oneself with the center. In addition there is a myBCEC app by Swift Mobile, available for iPhone, iPad, Android, and Blackberry devices.

BCEC has a localized wifi network that is free to use.

Parking at BCEC

The BCEC has a large on-site parking lot available.

Valet Parking

Valet parking is available by turning into the BCEC's east side entrance off Summer Street. Valets are immediately on your right for most events. Valet parking was $20, $15 after 4pm in 2011.

For self-parking continue past the valet parking area and at the end of the building turn right and down down the ramp. You will see the entrance to the "South Parking Lot." Shuttle buses run continuously between the lot and building entrances. Self-parking was $12 all day in 2012.
