The Omegathon is a three to four day (depending on the PAX in question) elimination tournament between randomly selected attendees who compete in games from every category (tabletop, console, PC) culminating in a live championship match on the biggest stage during PAX closing ceremonies. The final round is always out of left field and is completely insane. The identity of the final round is the closest guarded secret at each and every PAX. The Omeganauts compete for an all expenses paid trip to either Tokyo Games Show (Prime), Germany's GamesCon (East), or PAX Prime (Aus). The prize for the PAX South Omegathon is not yet known.
