Bring out your Gameboys, it's on like Donkey Kong!

Description

The Handheld Lounge at PAX is most easily identified by its seemingly bottomless supply of beanbag chairs. The lounge area is usually spread out over a good distance (similar to Tabletop) to allow attendees to relax and play games with other attendees on their handheld consoles of choice. While there are certain beanbag areas that are limited for specific games or game types, in general anyone is welcome to recline in the bags and play a round of whatever they've brought. Often in these areas attendees host multi-player battles/races of different types and an attendee's 3DS is always likely to get StreetPass credits.

Attending

The Handheld Lounge is free for all attendees, just like the Tabletop area, but there are tournaments hosted occasionally for certain games.

Expected Content

Beanbags and power outlets are generally available throughout the Handheld Lounge. In certain areas, attendees are occasionally expected to participate in vendor-driven games brought by sponsors (such as Nintendo).
